At the crossroads of Eurasia: Astana will hold the international exhibition of spare parts, automotive components, car maintenance equipment and products- KIAE supported by AUTOMECHANIKA for the second time.
As an added incentive for the development of the automotive industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 28.02-2.03 2017 with the support of the world’s leading trade fair brand Automechanika Astana will host the International Exhibition of spare parts, automotive components, car maintenance equipment and products – Kazakhstan International Automotive Expo (KIAE).
The regional project KIAE supported by Automechanika became the “crossroad” for meetings between European and Asian automotive market participants. KIAE exhibition came to the Kazakh market to help industry players to open new markets and to establish contacts both with local and regional target audiences.
Due to the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC), today’s Kazakhstan automotive industry has a chance for growing and improving its competitiveness within the single Eurasian space. Now, the Government of Kazakhstan is making valuable effort to create a favorable business environment and accelerate the development of priority industries such as automotive. It is planned to allocate additionally 20 billion tenge to stimulate the local automotive industry.
Kazakhstan remains an attractive market for investors, keeping a large growth potential for both auto retailers and local producers of automotive components. However, the market particularly needs a professional platform that can unite all industry participants and boost positive developments in the industry. The main objective of the premiere exhibition KIAE is to demonstrate current capabilities, investment attractiveness and business prospects in the sphere of automotive components production.
According to Andrei Lavrentyev, President of the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), today the participants of the market have the primary task: to oust grey imports of automotive components, consisting of a non-certified product, with quality products from both local and foreign companies. Due to this fact, KIAE has a mission to create civilized conditions for the interaction of market participants, to increase business turnover and to strengthen trade and industrial ties between local and foreign companies.
According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), investments into the automotive industry in the Republic exceeded 30 bln. tenge (124, 5 mln euro) at the end of 2014, of which 14.4 bln tenge were related to the automotive industry. In addition, official dealers’ sales in 2014 were roughly at the level of 2013: 1.63 mln in 2014 against 1.65 mln units in 2013. Due to the introduction of new capacity at the production sites in Kazakhstan, it is planned to significantly increase domestic cars production. The market for new cars in Kazakhstan is inferior in terms of the vast secondary market, the prospects of which are largely determined by outdated vehicle fleet and the growing demand for its services.
Presenting the classical production assortment in the field of spare parts, automotive components, car maintenance equipment and products as well as industry’s latest developments, KIAE is supposed to help the local auto market to grow and update, to present new market players, to attract investments into industry and to increase the competitiveness of local producers.
